"Nice sound! Well done you in Brighton." - Jonathon Ross
"[In the ocean is] an uplifting indie pop anthem if there ever was one" - Jim Gellatly
In the ocean has been included on this Vinyl Junkie compilation, which was out October 1st in Japan.
Alcopop! have also released a piano version of In the ocean on a compilation which utilises the good ole 'Map & Bottle' format.
Hello there! Stars and Sons are a band of chums currently living in Brighton, East Sussex. We enjoy sitting on the beach, engaging in semi-meaningful relationships, generally attempting to ignore 'ThE MAcHinE' and other activities.
We have recently finished recording our debut album with uber-producer Mr. Dave Eringa (Manic St Preachers/Ash/Kylie) which is set to be released next year. It is a compendium of a few years worth of fiddling with computers in a dark room as well as 2 hectic weeks spent at the foot of Mt Snowdon in North Wales playing instruments very loudly.
Look, we've even got evidence!
Alcopop records released our single 'In the ocean' last November. You can buy the mp3 on iTunes here and you can also get a limited 7" vinyl here. Here is a video for the song directed by superstar in training Matthew Anstee.
And here is a video we made because we're just so zany.
Thanks for the add! I really like your music, were actually in the studio right now recording our album, we put the first rough track up on our myspace so check it out and let us know what you think!
Hello to you too!:) Went to see The Phantom Band tonight - don't know if you like them or not. I'll be posting some videos of their Borderline gig in the next few days if you do. The Candle Thieves tomorrow.
