Stars Apart the band formed in 2005. It's a very melodic 4 piece band that kicks out crafted, vibrant rock tunes with warm, expanding tones. There are some familiar ingredients you can hear in this music that represent the sound, extracting hints of eclectic bands that paved the way for rock music. Make no mistake though, Stars Apart owns their original space in music with dynamic songs ranging from rock driven arrangements to alternative/indie country. The band is a pro style, polished act delivering a captivating live show with very cool energy. The debut, 11- song CD "Investigation Of The Phantom Signal" was released in October 2007 and met with sterling reviews. The band is currently supporting the release on stage locally in the Philadelphia area and planning on expanding with upcoming shows already adding several new songs to set.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Stars Apart's new "Investigation Of The Phantom Signal" may be indebted to Guided By Voices, but not to any one phase. In "Youth Mind Recovery Factory" alone we hear the zippy Power - Pop of Ric Ocasek - produced Guided By Voices & the more British - tinged, chug -a- chug punk of earlier days. Frontman Michael DeCastro is similarly smitten with words, seen a mile away in song titles like "Archery School" & "Iconoclastic Snakes". Whether with a folky strum or a Superchunk - y din, Stars Apart resurrect a '90s sound without all that troublesome lo-fi. More than anything, "Investigation" is the sound of indie rock aging gracefully. (Doug Wallen)
