STAR SCREAM BIOGRAPHY
-
TAKEN FROM PLAYMUSIC MAGAZINE FEATURE
What've this lot got under
their studded leather belts?
This London / Hastings trio Star Scream’s past gigs include support slots with heavyweights such as Rachel Stamp, Queen Adreena, Charlotte Hatherley, The Duke Spirit, The Others and Amen, the latter of which saw them hand picked by none other than metal legend Casey Chaos
Wowsa! They've been busy.
No shit, Sherlock.
Add to all that a Single Of The Month on heathenangel.com, Song Of The Month
of thewhitelabel.com, trumping the 700-strong competition for a slot at the 10,000
capacity TMF Rock Festival, 30 tracks worth of demos, an EP, Liquid & Pain and
single, Bedroom Eyes and you're starting to get the picture.
That's rather impressive, so what do they sound like?
Well, they
describe the soundtrack of their lives as a dash of Nightmare Before Christmas,
a dollop of Mechanical Animals, a spoonful of Manic Street Preachers and a hint
of Little Shop of Horrors, all chucked in the blender and turned on to Fast Riff
for several bars, then served with a garnish of Star Scream. Personally, Playmusic
thinks they sound like a smog-laden electro metal explosion. A very good thing,
we think you'll agree!
In their own words:
"We're picking
up loads of new fans along the way, our shows are getting better and better and
with interest from the industry increasing all the time, we aren't likely to
be slowing down any time soon."
We
would just like to say a huge thank you to all our myspace friends. We're extremely
proud that so many people enjoy our music, for an unsigned band this is quite
an achievement, so thank you everybody!
We really
appreciate all of your messages and comments, we're sorry that we cant always
reply to every one, but we do read them all, so thank you to everyone who takes
the time to get in touch.
Keep Screaming
