“Todo empezó después de que Pablo consiguiò dos discos de Joy Division, (closer y unknown pleasure) luego de un tiempo Pablo (voz) se empezo a sentir muy influenciado y empezaron a salir canciones en ingles, que justamente era lo que siempre el había soñado, (suele decir que es es nada mas y nada menos que solo una cuestión de gustos) al ver que empezaban a crecer las ganas de mostrar lo que tenia en sus manos decide fundar STARSELECT a pesar de que estaba tocando los teclados en Perdedores Hermosos (banda local alternativa) entonces hablo con su hermano Martìn y en cuestion de dias empezaron a salir los primeros acordes dando a luz temas como "Where there is no crying" y " Simulation o Emulation" componer juntos para ellos es una experiencia maravillosa mas aun compartiendo gustos. En ese momento no tenian nada, solo 2 bases masterizadas confeccionadas con el FL Studio 5 pero sin bajista no podían continuar su propio viaje. Entonces hablaron con un tal Horacio amigo de un amigo que parecía interesado, pero luego de unas tocatas informales en su casa abandono el proyecto por si solo. Buscando buscando reclutaron a “Mele” (actualmente bajista de Perdedores Hermosos y Mainumbis Vellocet) a “Pelo” (guitarrista de Perdedores y Starselect en la actualidad). Una anecdota de la banda: presentación en vivo de “Perdedores” tocaron un tema de "Starselect" (“Still”) osea .. la gente pensaba que era un tema de Perdedores Hermosos porque lo cante Pablo que era el tecladista, con Gero (actual baterista de perdedores)+mele+pelo en escena! fue un momento de exquisita alegria, los chicos notaron que la canción recibío una respuesta del publico muy interesante, fue entonces cuando dijeron ... "Esto da para mucho mas", entonces empezaron los ensayos. El primer ensayo, un martes 13 de febrero de 2007 que fue filmado todo el ensayo por Lucas (amigo de la banda) el soporte del micrófono mío era un perchero viejo hecho por Bernardo el papa de Pablo y Martín al que le amarraron el micrófono a la altura con cinta adhesiva!! STS debuto un jueves 22 de febrero en “La Mexicana” prometiéndose como banda sorpresa del año junto a amigos " Los Outsider" banda local, mucha gente se preguntaba cual iba a ser la banda sorpresa, "tal vez por eso fueron" el publico mas pequeño llego a ser de 5 personas contando los sonidistas que eran dos! Mas allá de todo eso hoy estan parados sobre una roca firme ...

STARSELECT, LA BANDA REVELACIÓN DEL AÑO SE PRESENTO NUEVAMENTE EN LA CITY, CON DJ SET NIKO LA PAMPA.
Despues de varias presentaciones en el pub de la calle Santa Fe, Zithum fue el lugar elegido "porque hacemos de cuenta que estamos en los últimos tiempos, que no importa el lugar y porque nos gustó la idea de tener un sitio habilitado con la capacidad que queríamos", dice Paul Debat (Pablo Lallana), vocalista y alma mater del grupo. Un sonido dark electrónico, voces oscuras y gruesas, bajos graves y guitarras suaves, una experiencia sonora/espacial, la performance de la banda transporta y construye un ambiente mezclado entre la estética de Tim Burton en “the nighmare before christmas” y “24 hours party people” de Michael Winterbottom, estaríamos en una especie de “The Fabrica”? Espero que si!!!!!

hey u! how ya been? hope things are going good.
