Music we listen to over the years, like New Order, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Pink Floyd (started with Division Bell and went backwards), Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Popsicle (soundtrack of my broken heart of the 90:ths) Pet Shop Boys (how I learned to like pop music and still do) and 80th:s hard rock (and Don Johnson - Niklas has his albums!) Too much Bob Dylan to have a career, Gillian Welch (bless her), Lucinda Williams (who made a lot of long roadtrips a little shorter over the years), Steve Earle, Dolly Parton, Prince, Suede, Jay-Z, Emmylou Harris, David Bowie and what ever runs through our minds while creating and recording a song.
The Starshooters Utd. are Niklas Karlsson, an untutored singer/songwriter, and Ronnie Persson, drummer and musician.
The band started as recording sessions where Niklas´ country influenced songs were mixed with Ronnie’s fascination for tree minute guitar excursions, mastodon choirs and not too much lyrics.
The sessions resulted in a gig at Stadtpop in Ljusdal 2005 where the band also got the name Starshooters Utd. Well it sound like a football team, but anyway it's our name. Thank's to Christer Nilsson of Hion Martell. It was his idea.

Haha! Ja visst är det! Jag blev ganska nöjd med mig själv när jag kom på det! Sen att bandet knappt existerar än är ju en annan sak, men det löser jag nog ganska lätt... vem vill INTE tillhöra kultureliten, liksom... ;-)
