About StarStateSounds Productions

StarStateSounds was the brainchild of Patrick Brogdon in college. Always wanting to push for better music to be accesible, StarStateSounds was born to help artists get their music heard, by offering the artists time to complete ideas on tape without the constraints of normal studio per hour charges. We focus on the artist being happy with what they created so they can feel proud about what they are sending out to the world. We are in our early stages of developement right now and are looking for bands who wish to record with a laid back, but professional engineer/producer. As far as genre's go, we have worked with almost every genre from: rock, bluegrass, country, rap, and metal. We are always working on bettering ourselves as professionals, so feel free to ask us what our current set up looks like. We can do live audio as contracted. The Mrs. : Film Scoring	Oct 15 2007 7:33 AM About me: EXCERPT FROM BEN LIGHMAN'S COLUMN: "RENEGADES OF FILM" --------------------------------------------- THE RUBY SCORPION is a hilarious psychological thriller unlike anything I've ever seen. On the surface, this film is a very unusual dark comedy. A type of humor that I did not know was possible, and this strange humor occurs at the least likely times and places. However, it is the elements lurking beneath THE RUBY SCORPION's surface that make it the once in a lifetime experience that it is. First of all, great attention to detail was given to the creation & assembly of this wild tale. I am sure if I watched this film 30 times, I would discover meanings, hidden messages, intonations, nuances of character, and outrageously funny elements that I did not notice on my first 29 viewings. There is a twist in the film that I don't know if I will ever quite figure out, although I have my theories. I won't list them here, but I will say that I never saw it coming, nor have I ever seen this happen in a film. Second, writer/director MIKE WIKE's rage ridden script just plays brilliantly as the furious, relentless performance of every actor in this ensemble cast. Finally, the film has a very distinct "vibe"... a mysterious, unforgiving, yet wildly fun and bizarre personality that is all her own. This is due in large part to a well utilized, haunting, and esoteric score created by "The Mrs," a music project formed specifically to build this score. The dark ambience of The Mrs subliminally duels against eccentric country band "Sideshow Tramps" throughout the film. This outrageous aural dance is beautifully intertwined with the psychedelic, experimental rock music of the band "Squid Bucket." ...This is a truly unforgettable audio package. Since most people reading this will not have the opportunity to experience this film in theaters, I recommend playing THE RUBY SCORPION in surround soun
