State of Art UK ( aka Gobz ) produced Dance/techno tunes in the early 90`s. Later went on to release CD`s under the guise of the more techno / Goth & Industrial metal influenced Whores of Babylon, Noiselab ( aka Whores of Babylon ) & Soundisciples, who all have pages on this site
Originally State of Art did about 20 tunes between 1989 & 1992
but a few remixes for other people have been done since then.
News Update : When I`ve finished setting up my new record label `LoveGun records` & done working on the next Soundisciples & Whores of Babylon albums, I may get back to producing some more dancy stuff, I`m thinking of slightly spooky Trance in style perhaps with some Orchestral elements added and the odd bit of vocals.
State of Art UK built a recording studio ( also called State of Art, or SOA Studios ) in Bristol, UK in 1992. These days it is partly owned and run by the band PORTISHEAD.
Among the bands that have recorded at the studio are of course Whores of Babylon, Noiselab, Soundisciples and also others such as, Smith & Mighty, Steph McKey, Portishead & bands that are signed to Portishead`s INVADA ( the UK one ) record label, Gonga are an example.
