About State of Mind Music Magazine

State of Mind exists because a few people asked themselves this question: How come nobody’s talking about music as passionately as we feel about it? We didn’t see any music magazines looking deep. Where were the great conversations about music? We weren’t reading anything that was personal or had a sense of humor. We weren’t reading anything that investigated the mystery and power of music. If music has so much emotional and spiritual depth, then shouldn’t a magazine about music reflect that? We knew we weren’t alone.

Over the past four years, State of Mind has built a reputation for delivering in-depth music coverage with genuine diversity. We embrace the Duke Ellington philosophy, “If it sounds good, it is good.” And people are connecting with that.
