Forming in Mid 2007, State of Order's electrifying brand of modern hard rock sounds are being launched all around the Perth scene. Having released a three part release for 2008, the band has enjoyed some great success. “Liquid" was sold out on its release and also seen the band achieve “WA Nightshift Artist of the Week" on Twin Cities Fm and played on 4zzzfm,while "Solid" reaching the Number two spot on Twin Cities WA Top 10 chart also. ”Gas” has been played on RTRfm, 4zzzFm, PBSfm and has received great reviews.
Having gigged around Perth for the past year, State of Order has been received very well by crowds and look forward to playing some bigger shows with their new release.
The band is hard at work on new material and will be hitting the studio later on in the year. With a video clip being featured on RAGE, another two video clips to be released and many gigs lined up the future looks bright for the State of Order lads.
"Gas is the third in a series of ‘elemental’ releases from Perth rockers State Of Order. They travel down a few different avenues of hard rock over five songs. Voyeur kicks off in style with some heavy riffs and frantic drumming. Things are slowed down a bit for the space-ier The Wall and slow-burning Over My Head, showing a preference for ballads over brutality much like contemporaries Birds of Tokyo and the Butterfly Effect. There is a strong groove felt throughout Gas and vocalist/guitarist Rob’s smooth vocals compliment this nicely. Final track Acousima heads into prog territory and sees the band effectively fuse the elements exhibited on the first four tracks to create something a bit more epic. If their live show matches this effort they should soon see themselves rubbing shoulders with the likes of Boge and Kenny, et al." -TREVOR WINTERS, Rave Magzine Brisbane
“Recorded in a self-made home studio, the 'state' trilogy not only saw the band firing on all cylinders creatively, but mechanically as well...” – Mike Wafer X-press Magazine
“... a chemistry that will no doubt see State of Order continue to reach their immediate and long-term goals” - Mike Wafer X-press Magazine.
“‘Cut It’ and ‘Sui’ have defiantly proved to be live favourites, but then again every track State of Order have are as good as another. With soaring melodies that everybody loves, every track was like a slap in the face and didn't give you any time to recover before the band went off again. Just how we all like it.” – Heather Mcbride WA gig guide Review
“The ability for any band to conjure atmospheric dynamics is enviable, and State of Order capitalise on this skill, which helps set them apart from some of the more established Perth bands sporting a similar sound” – Laura Glitsos Xpress Magazine
“ As debutantes go , this act may very well develop in sweethearts of the hard rock scene” – Laura Glitsos Xpress Magazine.
“With a palpable, energetic stage presence, the savvy and innovation in music marketing and release and good solid competent musicians State of Order is one of the Perth bands that just reeks of longevity and greatness” – Luke Ramshaw Spaceshipnews.com
“Hard rockers State of Order had the inenviable task of seeing out the afternoons proceedings between post- everything hardcore group Eleventh He Reaches London and the headlining act of Drapht. The four Piece held their own as they worked through a set of rock and metal tunes with a tight stage act built on a years worth of gigging. – Drum Media Magazine.
"Opening track Voyeur kick-starts this EP with a bang. Heavy drum rolls and grungy guitar riffs, coupled together with loud vocals; demand for attention. Finishing with a sweet screamo chorus, gets you into the mood to throw your head about and ‘rock out’. Gas is a compilation of differing tracks under the rock genre. The Wall is a simpler melodic song; featuring a slower tempo and basic clean cut vocals.
The song captures this bands ability to play both heavy rock, along with a more commercial easy listening sounds." - Matt Gallant. Thedwarf.com.au
"Bullet Generation has an older rock and roll feel to it, I would say it resembles a grungy nineties track. This is another loud messy song with plenty of personality. The catchy lyrics, insane guitar riffs and intense drum work are all controlled, and work well together. Along with a good amount of rises and falls, makes this one of the best songs on their release.
Overall State Of Order have unleashed a solid EP, finishing the three part series off with a rock fuelled blast." - Matt Gallant." Thedwarf.com.au
"Following a rather sedate set the audience required a wake up and State Of Order were prepared to deliver. Playing it up for the various cameras State Of Order were a hard rock band with a grunge influence. The sound was heavy with smooth guitars supporting the aching vocals an onstage performance that showed they were no pretenders. With a great command of their material developed through their two years of existence they stood out as early contenders." - Fasterlouder.com (Next Big Thing Heat review)
"State of Order on the other hand, stuck far closer to their genres standards, but did so because their advanced level of musicianship allows them to push these standards to their higher echelons- and, in the briefest of terms, they made it look effortless." -Xpress Magazine - Mike Wafer
