About me: Having first opened its doors in the early 1930s, the historic State Theatre is North Mississippi's oldest music and performing arts venue of its kind, and is considered to be one of the South's premier music venues with state-of-the-art sound and light production, two stages, a movie theatre-sized big-screen TV, the largest outdoor balcony in the Golden Triangle overlooking beautiful Main Street / Downtown Starkville, an indoor VIP balcony lounge overlooking the main stage, the MSU-themed State Room, a private ballroom, and the soon-to-be-open Bistro at State Theatre restaurant, which will serve as the new home of 2 Brothers BBQ.
With a total on-premises capacity of 1,160, the State Theatre can handle any event you are interested in producing, including concerts, festivals, fundraisers, banquets, conferences, conventions, parties, receptions, etc.
