Composer and multi-instrumentalist , born in Athens in May 1965. In 1981 formed one of the first Greek punk groups, the internationally unknown "Anipofori" (The Unbearables), the first punk band singing in Greek. During the 80s he cooperated with various groups of the Greek independent rock music scene (Echo Tatoo, Low Noise, etc).
In the late 80s, he started cooperating with Greek singer-lyricist Kristi Stassinopoulou. Together with Kristi, with the drummer Vangelis Vekios and guitarist Kostis Anagnostopoulos they formed “Selana”, an underground band with an “ethnopunk” sound, also often performing as the support group of the late Pavlos Sidiropoulos.
Beginning of the '90s Stathis started using also traditional string instruments and experimenting with electronics and live looping.
He is the composer, arranger and co-producer of Kristi Stassinopoulou's albums, "taxidoscopio", "The Secrets of the Rocks" , "Echotropia" and "Ifantokosmos", in which he has played electric and acoustic guitars, saz, laouto, bass, baglamas, keyboards, groove sampler and percussion.
Together with Kristi and band he have appeared in music festivals, concert halls and clubs in Europe, Canada, Israel, Armenia, USA and Brazil.
He have also cooperated with the Cologne/Germany based band “Schall Sick Brass Band”.

Τραγούδια και ατμόσφαιρα 60's στην καρδιά της Αθήνας του 2010 . Ένα πρόγραμμα στηριγμένο στο τελευταίο της album "The Rose Tattoo" .
