The Journey or The Destination?

The Dream:

To write emotionally compelling music that moves millions of people globally without compromising artistic vision and economic stability; in other words, to make lots of money writing music that everyone loves (including you).

Reality:

Unfortunately or fortunately for many the dream never comes true. What then? Do you give up music? Twist your music so it conforms to every trend in hopes of capturing a deal? Do you really need to sell a million CDs to validate what you create? Or more importantly, are you in it for the journey or the destination?

Existential Reasoning:

These are the kind of questions that Mar, Jay, and Rom had to ask themselves after playing with a long line of really great bands that always failed to produce the land of El Dorado.   With everything stripped down it took a few heated discussions to come up with the answers.

Answer One: Who They Are

Music is who they are and not just what they do. Their families and close friends have always known that to separate them from music is akin to amputating a limb. Sure they can still live, but at a very low quality of life. This is what separates the real musicians with a passion for art from "four guys in a band trying to make it big."

Answer Two: The Journey

The magic that most bands have at the beginning is what makes being in a band so rewarding. With this in mind the trio were determined to shift the focus back to the journey and disregard the destination. They love to play live, they live to record, and they live to write music. So they decided to never stop... ever!

Answer Three: Static Limit

So the Graphic Designer, Theatre Arts Teacher, and College Instructor decided to create a band based on music that they love to play. Static Limit is a project of fulfillment and exhilaration for themselves and like-minded people around the globe. Where each member is in charge of composing, arranging, and performing progressive/experimental songs that are inspired by their love of movies, literature, art, and life.
