Station 153

Bio:

We are a worship team from Gateway Church in Bridgewater NJ. It is our desire to see God glorified and His Kingdom advanced through worship.

A station is a place or position in which something is located. It is a place equipped for some particular kind of work. It’s an office, rank, calling or the like.

The number 153 is only used once in the bible. After Jesus is crucified Peter goes back to fishing. He is out all night and catches nothing. Frustrated, he heads back in and Jesus calls out from the shore line “Cast your nets on the other side”. In obedience Peter follows the instructions of Jesus and they caught so many fish they were not able to haul the net in. The number of fish they caught that day was 153 which just so happens to be the exact number of species of fish in that particular sea. It’s a prophetic picture of reaching every tribe and tongue.

Our station is to be in obedience to God. It’s to serve our local church, to advance the Kingdom, and it is to reach the nations for Jesus. From John 21 we see that when we are in obedience to God no matter how crazy or illogical the instructions might sound we prosper more. 153 is a number of unexpected plenty. God blesses those whose station is obedience towards Him and He makes sure their nets or their efforts don’t break.

We hope and pray that our songs bless people across the world and carry the message of living our lives for the Kingdom of God. Worship isn’t just a church event. It isn’t just about singing songs on a Sunday morning. Worship is a life style! Worship is costly because it requires our whole lives. Its being totally, one hundred percent, surrendered and devoted to God and His Kingdom.
