Station 23 is the outlet to a musical journey where the destination is dependent upon the listener's desired state of mind. The pathway consists of numerous stops that will soothe, relax, comfort, and massage the eardrums. The journey may also invoke one to bob their head, move with cadence, and dance to the drummer's beat. The ride is adorned with visits to various cities such as Soul, Hip Hop, Funk, Latin rhythms, Downtempo, Jazz, Breaks, Rare Grooves, and much more.
Station 23 started as an internet radio station where broadcasts took place inside a cramped bedroom in Rialto, CA. From there, the Station 23 crew took the show to North Hollywood and finally southbound on the I-5 to the Continental Room in downtown Fullerton. Being at a live venue caused the Station 23 radio show to morph into a "music journalism jam" where attendees and listeners get to hear a live dj set and an accompanying interview with the DJ. Since guest DJs are playing for a loungy atomsphere versus a frenetic, dancing audience, they can get creative with their DJ sets and exercise complete artistic expression in their selections.
So check out the "music journalism jams" every 1st Saturday at the Continental Room from 3pm to 7pm. The Continental Room boasts an excellent wine menu and full bar while you lounge and listen to GOOD music.
STATION 23 Live! we started posting more "Evro Music" videos on YouTube. A lot of new songs are up. We recorded them on a cell phone, so the audio isn’t great.
