We sound like ourselves! We are doing a lot of writing right now, and sharing a lot more original songs on stage. We also love to take cover songs and make them our own. We play for the love of the music, and we hope that comes across to you, the listener!
Station 313 is a Lexington, KY based rock band whose influences span from Styx, REO Speedwagon, U2, and Coldplay.
Formed as an all-star ensemble of students at "The Great Bridge Guitar Program" drummer Jake Gammon (a.k.a. Helmet) paired with guitarist Jonathan McKeown and the stage was set. With Alec Schram on bass and Amaris Blevins on lead vocal, this band has what some can only describe as a Primitive Cool blend of classic rock, blues, alternative, and contemporary christian.
When you couple an incredible power trio with the "Alanis meets Janis" vocal of Amaris, it's truly fresh and nothing short of AMAZING.
I bet you are used to the Amaris thing, well the boys loved the guys just as much but more for their awesome musical talent (they have decided to start a band of their own)! Amaris has the looks and talent so you can't really blame em huh?:)
I'm really excited about the KY Theater show too...I've been hanging up flyers around Lexington/Louisville so hopefully we'll get a response from those too!
