a little bit about myself you ask? I spend my days in SF tinkering on tunes, playing records about town, constructing clothes, and otherwise soaking up that hyphy vibe (life would not be complete with a decent baked good now and then). approximately 2/3 of my music comes from a nintendo gameboy, the rest from music history's finest moments (aka sampling). when djing I can't resist a good mashup, no matter how oddball it is... just check a mix or two of mine and you'll see what I mean.

what better way to say "I survived THE NIGHT KITCHEN with RICHARD DEVINE" than with a shirt? white print on a black shirt.
support LA DUBSTEP with a sporty tee! white print on blue and chocolate colored shirt. FYI MEDIUM and LARGE blue shirts are out of stock.

feeling nostalgic for the golden days of (don't call it) IDM? have your old Warp cassettes and Rephlex stickers gathered so much dust that it's hard to tell them from your limited-edition Skam faux-fur cd case? let them sit - I've crafted an hour-long masterclass in the best IDM (IMO) for your braindancing pleasure. note: there may be trace amounts of ambient and jungle music in this recording.

this strictly dubstep mix touches upon my favorite aspects of the music, following "the D" through lush technoscapes, abrasive industrial grit, tense trip hop, spacey electro-funk, dystopian dancefloor riddims, and finally reflective ambience.

I've taken your favorite jams of yesteryear and mashed them up with some of the heaviest basslines in the business. Part two of the Brapdem mix series.
in the past 3 years I've thrown quite a few parties. Los Angeles got its first taste of UK dubstep styles with "An Evening Of Dubstep" in the summer of 2006, featuring Distance, Pinch, Daedelus (with surprise guest MCs Busdriver and Subtitle), Baseck, Tom Burbank & myself. I followed this up with a series of shows entitled Nastysonix, hosting incendiary acts including The Glitch Mob, Scuba, Joe Nice, Kid Kameleon, Ripley & Djunya.
since moving up to San Francisco, I've started a party series called "The Night Kitchen" in a deep dark space in chinatown. with fresh styles from folks like Richard Devine, Matt Shadetek, Epcot & Salva, Baseck and Ricky Def, it's quickly become known for delivering skewered beats hot to your feets. check NASTYSONIX.COM for more info...
sometimes I like to jam out on my gameboy with this fellow who plays ukelele. we're called Casey James and the Staypuft Kid, and you should head over to our myspace and give a listen. we've assembled an EP of aforementioned musical madness, as well as a terrifyingly fabulous Halloween-inspired album (available for FREE from our site! zomg!). you can also catch us tearing it up live on the west coast.. check our calendar for deets
hahha oh, im not ashamed! in fact, freestyle reminds me of my childhood, so theres good stuff there. its just funny to see peoples reactions when my ipod plays some black metal then randomly comes on some cheesy synths with a high pitch female vocal. haha i think we should have a 90's party. freestyle. dance. deep house. it'll be a blast! club Chola at Jerrys! :0
thanks! so. i read somewhere that you have been listening to freestyle! thats my current guilty pleasure! my favorite song is Funky Little Beat by Connie (NOT the Debbie Deb version) that song rules my weekends! then theres this all tme classic!
Ha HA! I'm totally using that picture once I get around to putting "Electrolyte" on my page. (And actually finishing it beyond three minutes long...) Thanks. :)
its was great seein you a couple of weekends ago....so glad u liked that soul or system show...let me know when youre ever in town again and likewise if im in town. hope all is well with you :)
