Here's what a few people have said about St Deluxe
Alan McGee -
"Post Glasvegas, I can see Glasgow just buzzing and bursting with talent.....St Deluxe are a Scottish Nirvana for the 21st Century..."
Sonic Boom AKA Pete Kember – Spacemen 3, Spectrum, EAR and Stereloab etc -
“St Deluxe' mine the same Glaswegian mines that have unearthed gems like the Mary Chain , Teenage
Fanclub & the Pastels amongst other great & luminous bands . I'll take a sack-full ,please.”
Norman Blake – Teenage Fanclub -
“St Deluxe just get better and better. Right now they are Scotland's Uber noise/pop merchants. I love 'em!”
Stuart Braithwaite - Mogwai -
“St deluxe continue in the fine tradition of great Scottish bands like Teenage
Fanclub, Vaselines and Franz Ferdinand of making great guitar pop. they
have a fine collection of guitar pedals and are not afraid to use them!"
Duglas Stewart - BMX Bandits -
"The boys from St Deluxe are my Bandits and Francis Macdonald's Bad Boys.
With the Bandits they play soft and melodic but they can also play a very different
type of sounding music. St Deluxe music is loud, unapologetic and very alive.
Prepare for a tasty portion of pure energy and adrenalin".
Vic Galloway – BBC Radio One/Radio Scotland DJ -
"Featuring new, youthful recruits ( Jamie and Martin) to the BMX Bandits, and ensconced in the wonderful
'Riverside Studios' beloved of Teenage Fanclub and others, St. Deluxe join that great lineage of Glasgow
indie-rock. Their sound is reminscent of Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine and the
aformentioned Glasgow bands, with near-whispered vocals, fuzzed-out guitars and a stoned haze of
production culminating in a very, sweet whole! I look forward to their debut LP on the new Poppydisc label,
run by Creation records honcho Joe Foster... makes sense doesn't it?!"

St Deluxe were formed by Jamie Cameron and Martin Kirwan. Sharing a love of indie ethics and ideals, vintage guitars and fuzz pedals, we decided to start up a band + record label.
Taking inspiration from bands like sonic youth, my bloody valentine, teenage fanclub, dinosaur jr, jesus and the marychain, spacemen 3, mudhoney, etc plus labels like creation, sst, sub pop, dischord..
we enlisted the help of some friends - stuart kidd on drums and Brian McEwan on bass complete the line up..
grundioso records have released three singles.. The Debut St Deluxe single 'Distant Light' and two of our series of Grundioso MAXI singles!!
MAXI I featured Duglas Stewart and the brides of Frankenstein (Duglas.. Norman Blake.. Francis MacDonald.. and Davie Scott..) the Starlets and st deluxe...
MAXI II featured our own St Deluxe and the magic of Music and Movement..
Distant Light was played by steve lamacq amongst many others and there are only a few copies left which can be purchased or downloaded here

St Deluxe have been included in the list of bands to watch out for in 2008 by the Daily Record!! here's what they said...
ST DELUXE
St Deluxe are another band who may be onthe left of the mainstream but with the new love of indie have every chance of breaking through. Mixing howling guitars and My Bloody Valentine-style vocals with the harmonies of Teenage Fanclub, the band, who are led by BMX Bandits regulars Jamie Cameron and Martin Kirwan, are already doing well in Germany.
We also received a 5 out of 5 live review for the support gig with Spectrum!
here it is...
