About STD- 2009 SAMMIE Nominee

STD started as part of the 2005 Stairway To Stardom Program for Skips Music in Sacramento as a band called Syndrome where they are paired with a professional musician/coach. For 6 weeks they wrote, practiced, and ultimatley performed 3 original compositions at a concert venue for family, friends, media and celebrity judges.
After the program was over Stephen (Bass), Thomas (Drums) and Dalton (Guitar) decided to stick together and convinced their coach Steve Mahoney to mentor the band. Steve, a veteran of the music scene, also performs as vocalist for the band.
STD has built up a steady following since their initial show. Now, they are one of the areas top drawing groups in the region. They have graced the stages of the big Sacramento venues and are consistantly requested by many Sacramento and touring groups.
The band’s eagerly-anticipated full-length CD, "Spreading The Disease" is now available in stores and online. The band is touring throughout Northern California.
