Greatly influenced by the 60's Ska and Rocksteady. enter 'the skatalites', 'prince buster', 'alton ellis', 'clancy eccles', 'lords, tanamo and creator', 'laurel aitken', 'tommy mcook', 'justin hinds', etc.. the 80's 2tone movement (especially 'the specials') and some skinhead reggae. The band is currently, head buried, head scratching on it's own compositions..
SteadyMovinBeat had it's debut on the local ska circuit on the November 2004 edition of Skamax(a satellite of Clubska Manila) at freedom bar. With the help of their mentors Rodolfo Ubales Jr.(Shuffle Union Bassman) and Maren Mae Ilagan(Put3ska/Shuffle Union vox).
Having a female vocalist (Hannah Margarita) back then, and after going through a treble of replacements, and roads of musical direction, the band is now led by five of it's surviving members, retainers of the old banner. playing around Metro Manila and sometimes in nearby provinces, it earned it's appreciations in chartered territories like freedom bar (cubao), heckle and jeckle (makati), caliente/greenvine (malate), tribal (malabon), alexies (Batangas), and is now having a hot spot at hellacious (malabon).
The band had also jammed with some of the prime ska movers in the country, Rodolfo Ubales Jr and January Bautista of Shuffle Union, as well as Skarlet of Brownbeat Allstars (and putreska).
