Formerly known as Spudwinkles, the band have been together for almost 3 years and continue to stir more excitement within the indy music scene. In June '06' Tim Chester reviewed the band in NME describing them as '...some sort of rock hybrid ala ATDI (at the drive in) that keeps us hooked on repeat for half an hour'. Playing venues such as ULU, Carling Academy Islington, Camden Underworld, Camden Barfly, The Bull and Gate and Brixton Jamm and supporting signed and successful acts such as a Bloc Party DJ Set, The Departure, The Jackson Analogue, Rival Joustas and Weapons, Stealing Signs are an ambitous young band that continue to write and perform energetic songs in an attempt to get signed.

The Laurels were held at the Essex border on suspicion of smuggling and missed there gig last week.
Police accused the Laurels of trying to bring good music into Essex and told them to not enter the county.
They have since been able to pay off the police and are set to headline the next High Off. On Sat. 7th June. See them before they get too big for the likes of our little Fleece.
