Freddie Mercury above all others, Elton John, Billy Joel, Robert Plant, Ray Charles, Eddie Vedder, Scott Stapp, Steven Tyler, etc...mostly classic rock n roll and some blues/jazz thrown in the mix
Sounds Like
I sound like a combination of my influences....listen for yourself and then you tell me....i enjoy feedback.
I'm originally grew up in the country South of Decatur, Indiana. I went to High School at Adams Central, and graduated in May of 1992.
I have lived in a few different places like Decatur, Ft. Wayne, Churubusco, St. Louis, and Nashville. I worked in the restauant industry for about 7 years in Decatur and Ft. Wayne. I was then introduced into the music and night scene by Steve Cox. Steve and I worked together for Startime Entertainment (Disc Jockey, Karaoke, Piano Bars, Live Entertainment), which Steve is the founder/CEO. We are still business partners today, although I don't disc jockey as much as I used to.
I currently live and work in Churubusco, Indiana. I tend bar for a living at The Lucky Lady, which is owned by Huey and Dianna Hazen. I am also an entertainer, specializing in music (vocals, piano, etc...), and acting. When I lived in Nashville, I had the privilege of schmoozing with some famous musicians, actors, directors, producers, etc... Nashville was a wonderful experience, and I would love to live there again someday (not too soon though). I have appeared in two short movies, some commercials, and music videos as an actor while in Nashville. I also worked on a few movie sets doing some design, building and F/X makeup. You could say that entertainment in all forms is the central core of my life.
Besides music...I also enjoy sports, movies, playing video games, playing cards, throwing darts, and my gaming night on Wednesdays. I have a vast knowledge of useless trivia. I am a very kind person and it is tough to upset me. I consider myself to be a jack-of-all-trades....but I only know just enough to get by (except for entertainment of course). I guess I have to wear many different hats since I tend bar.
I have a couple of friends that I would give my life for without a second thought. Kent Frenger is like the older brother I never had. If I'm not at work or home, you will usually find me over at his house goofing off. My roommate Jeramy Swartz is the Food/Beverage Director at the Lucky Lady. He also feels like a brother to me. His dog Susie Q (full blooded pug) is kind of like a neice or something too.
I am lucky enough to have two families in a manner of speaking. I was adopted when I was 5 weeks old. My parents Barry and Diana Humble (whom have always been Mom and Dad) live in Decatur, Indiana. I have two younger sisters....Jesse (30) and Hannah (23). Growing up was sort of like a Norman Rockwell painting. It was the kind of childhood people dream of. Dad has always been my main role model in life. He is, essentially a teacher of all things. He was my Health/Phys. Ed. teacher, my pastor, and my wrestling coach. Mom was a school teacher, then worked for the Dept. of Agriculture. She is one of the toughest and kindest people that you will ever find. Jesse and her husband Chris have three beautiful daughters...Saedie, Haddilyn, and Clancy. My family has always been close and is a source of peace and strength in my life.
I found my biological mother, Cathy, in 1997. I didn't need someone to raise me anymore, but needed to put together some puzzle pieces and questions that i had about myself. Cathy, and her husband, Johnny, live in Collinsville, Illinois close to St. Louis. I also found that I have two younger sisters and a younger brother that I am blood related to.....Shannon (25), Brittany (20), and Joshua (17). We all look and act very similar.....very intelligent, very open-minded, very independent, very good sense of humor. Even though I didn't grow up with them, I always feel connected with them.
The music played on this page is me. I recorded these cover songs in October of 2005 at Scenic Ridge Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Randy Dorman, as he is one of the best in the business. If you enjoy what you hear, then please leave me a message telling me so.....I always enjoy feedback.
Hey Seth! It's been awhile. I miss you! I'm officially off work and on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. I'll let you know exactly when I am having my son as soon as I schedule the c-section! Talk to ya soon! Love ya!
So...I just want you to know, because you'd appreciate this more than anyone else I know...
A friend of mine is signed to a record label as a DJ. They're going to drop her if she doesn't get a full band together and have an EP recorded within the year (or somewhere around then).
aaaaaaaaaand....who do you suppose is going to be the vocalist big bro?
Its nothing to big, and it probably won't go anywhere, but I'll keep you posted.
