We're dedicated to repping the black and gold and giving Steeler fans in the New York area (as well as all members of the Steeler Nation who toil far from thr 'Burgh) a place to call home. We spotlight Steeler bars, showcase Steeler events, and try to bring wayward Steeler fans together. Why? Because the best fans in the world deserve it.

They call me Mean Rob. I'm the founder, sherpa, and spiritual leader of SteelersNYC. The Steeler Nation is truly worldwide, and we've got more than our share of Black & Gold clad fans here in the New York area. I started up SteelersNYC.coma few years ago to give those fans -- and all displaced Steeler fans who wave their Terrible Towels from afar -- a home.
We catalog all the Steeler bars in the New York area, share information about area Steeler get-togethers and road trips, and provide commentary and insight on the ups and downs of following your team from afar. We'll also bring as much of that info as we can here to MySpace, but to get the full experience (including photos, our e-mail newsletter, links, and more), head on over to SteelersNYC.com.
Who I'd like to meet: Steeler fans... they're the only people who matter.
Just wanted to add a note to the updated bar list, I have yet to attend but Mean Fiddler around Time Sq says on their website that they are a Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler bar so maybe give that a try too.
"And you know what is amazing about this? People around the country like the Pittsburgh Steelers. They like that they play tough football in a tough city. This isn't a New York team, not a LA team or Chicago team or Boston team, no Red Sox Nation situation. This is family owned, they're tough, they're durable. They have tradition, stability and continuity. And everywhere you go, you find Steeler fans. They travel well, people like them and they believe that this is the kind of city where the right kind of football is played. They are the one organization in the NFL that just about everybody likes. Except maybe people from Cleveland."
