Steel Kingdom is an eclectic Neo-Classic power metal band hailing from Rochester, New York. With the release of their second full-length album, they continue to refine their sound and leave audiences stunned by the caliber of their musicianship and energy of their stage presence. In addition to regional programming, their music can be heard on SIRIUS satellite radio, and they have been featured on MSN and UVTV. Drawing on influences from a variety of genres, their music successfully bridges the gap between energy and complexity. With firm backgrounds in metal, rock, classical, jazz, prog, new age, and everything in between, Steel Kingdom continually strives to push the limits of emotional expression. Each member brings his own massive experience, which combines into a tight, well-rounded unit that impresses both fans and critics alike.
The voice behind Steel Kingdom is Sean Williams, who studied at the Hochstein School of Music. A powerful frontman, with a well-trained voice to match, Sean delivers each song with intensity and emotion. Mike Caputo’s guitar command puts him in immediate contention as one of the finest shredders out there. Mike was described by Guitar Player magazine as “the quintessential progressive guitarist demonstrating a command of textural elements, acoustic guitar technique, and a melodic lead style utilizing impressive legato phrasing.” Holding down the low end is bassist Christian Pellegrino. A musical mediator and the glue that binds everything together, Christian's playing is solid and energetic and brings his dramatic background vocals into many songs. Jeff Cummings holds the other axe along with his music and art degree from Fredonia college. Jeff will provide sweeping and harmonizing solos in unison with Mike. He also is the author of our artwork starting with the 2nd album and promotional materials going forward. Thunder, lightning, and non-stop relentless machine-gun like drumming is provided by TK Kennedy. A drummer who plays outside the box, mixes up time signatures, and makes drumming a full contact sport rounds off Steel Kingdom!
