MySpace a place for friends

Formed in 1996, in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Brazil, playing a very peculiar style, which is Heavy Metal, inspired by the great names of this scene.The band nailed this goal, in October of the same year, releasing its first work, "Steel Warrior", in cassette format, and in May of 1999 under the title "Visions from the Mistland", its debut on CD format was released. This first album provided the band the ablity to run in national and foreign specialized media getting good reviews and providing the establishment of important contacts in Brazil and the whole world. In 2000 the band signed a deal with Hellion Records, who began the distribution of the bands material, because the self financed 1000 copies had been sold out. Since then, the band planned a tour in Europe, which was consolidated in May, 2001.
Returning to Brazil in August of that year, with several new songs already completed, the band entered into the studio again and start the recordings of "Army of Time" and the album was released in August 2002 by Hellion Records, this work showed that the band again pleased the public and national and international media. In Brazil, the album received good reviews in major magazines, and the surprise in Japan: appeared among the 15 more listed albums by Burnn!, The biggest Japanese rock magazine.
In 2004, with the basic structures of new compositions, the band begins preparing the next album, several factors delayed this album - that the band decided to produce it again totally self financed, the construction of the record studio of the guitarist / vocalist André Fabian, and planning the recording of the first official video clip of the band, and so, while the new album wasn’t completed, in 2006 the band releases the EP Vodu, whose tracks were entirely distributed over the internet for free via download.
At the end of 2008, the band's third full length is released, entitled "Legends", which themed completely away from the first two releases, focusing more on the occultism and religious questioning.
Among many important presentations in Brazil, it is mainly those in which the Steel Warrior shared the stage with internationally renowned bands such as Gamma Ray, Symphony and Grave Digger, and was the winner of the Santa Catarina’s stage of Wacken Metal Battle Brazil 2008.
The line-up of the band is stable for 10 years and is formed by André Fabian (Vocals and Guitar), Boon Yu (guitar and backing vocals), Anderson Agostinho (bass and backing vocals and Culver Yu (drums and backing vocals).

Formada em 1996, em Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Brasil, tocando um estilo musical muito peculiar, qual seja o Heavy Metal, inspirados nos grandes nomes desta cena. Afincados neste objetivo, ainda em outubro do mesmo ano, lançaram seu primeiro trabalho, a Demo Tape "Steel Warrior", e em maio de 1999, sob o título de Visions from the Mistland, é lançado seu debut, em formato CD.
Este primeiro álbum possibilitou ao Steel Warrior veiculação na mídia especializada nacional e estrangeira, logo rendendo boas críticas e proporcionando o estabelecimento de importantes contatos no Brasil e no exterior. Em 2000, a banda assina um contrato com a Hellion Records, a qual iniciou a distribuição de novas tiragens do mesmo material, pois até o dado momento toda tiragem independente do álbum havia se esgotado. A partir de então, a banda planejava uma Tour na Europa, fato que veio a se consolidar em maio de 2001.
Retornando ao Brasil, em agosto do mesmo ano, mais entrosados e com várias novas composições já concluídas, a banda entra em estúdio novamente, iniciaram-se as gravações de Army of the Time e o mesmo é lançado em agosto de 2002, pela Hellion Records, este trabalho mostrou que a banda novamente agradou ao público e a mídia nacional e internacional. No Brasil, obteve boas críticas nas maiores revistas do estilo, e no exterior a surpresa: figurando entre os 15 álbuns mais cotados pela Burnn!!, maior revista japonesa do estilo.
Em 2004, com as estruturas-base de novas composições, tem início o preparo do álbum seguinte, vários fatores levaram ao atraso deste álbum o qual a banda decidiu produzi-lo de forma totalmente independente, como a construção do estúdio de gravação do vocal / guitarrista André Fabian, bem como o planejamento da gravação do primeiro videoclipe oficial da banda, e assim, enquanto o novo álbum não era concluído, em 2006 a banda lança o EP Vodu, cujas faixas foram totalmente distribuídas pela internet, gratuitamente via download.
No final de 2008, o terceiro full lenght da banda é lançado, intitulado “Legends”, cuja temática foge totalmente dos dois primeiros trabalhos, focando mais em ocultismo e questionamento religioso.
Dentre tantas apresentações importantes no Brasil, destacam-se, principalmente, aquelas em que o Steel Warrior dividiu o palco com bandas de renome internacional, como Gamma Ray, Symphony e Grave Digger, além de ter sido o vencedor da etapa estadual do Wacken Metal Battle Brazil 2008.
A formação da banda está estabilizada há 10 anos e atualmente conta com André Fabian (Vocais e guitarra), Boon Yu (guitarra e Backing vocais), Anderson Gomes Agostinho (Baixo e backing vocais e Culver Yu (bateria e backing vocais).
