Bio:

Stefan Michalke, jazz pianist, componist and arranger has set up a sextett that couldn't be more unusual in its composition and musical background. Stefan Michalke's chamber music jazz compositions and arrangements are combined with the diverse styles and rhythms of latinamerican and classical music. With violin, cello, double bass, drums and piano these experienced musicians introduce elements of their individual musical backgrounds to create new rhythms, melodies and sounds. The refreshingly unusual combination of musicians demonstrate skill improvise within the filigran arrangement of the different parts. This sextett combines playfulness and skill to strike out in a new musical direction. Tongue in cheek the rules of chamber music are broken. .. .. .. ..
