Stefano Brondi a dir suo è un musicista toscanaccio a tempo perso, ma siccome praticamente perde il 99 per cento della propria vita cosciente (e forse anche gran parte di quella incosciente, ma non lo da per certo) cantando, suonando, dirigendo o insegnando musica, può dichiaratamente considerarsi un musicista di professione. Potreste trovarlo in un fumoso locale italiano, o in qualche teatro a fare spettacoli dirigere cori, in una scuola di musica, o perche no? - anche in una piccola chiesetta di S. Francisco (California, ma USA, non frazione di Bibbona (LI)..) a cercare di essere un buon Ministry of Music. Leggendo il giornale vi sarà capitato a volte di trovare il suo nome accanto al The Joyful Gospel Ensemble, a gruppi come i Viltudo, Rocco e i Suoi Orrori, The Rat Pack, a titoli di Musical come "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Little Shop of Horrors", "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", o accanto a scuole di musica o istituzioni celebri come il Teatro Goldoni. Magari non ve ne è fregato un bel niente ed avete girato pagina... per poi ripensarci incuriositi andando a cercare chi diavolo sia questo sguaiato cantante che salta continuamente da un genere all'altro nel suo nuovo spettacolo "Bianco e Nero" cantando ininterrottamente per più di due ore arie d'opera, standard jazz e brani pop, rock, metal e di cantautori italiani, e che quando canta ci crede davvero - dio bonino se ci crede! - e molte volte riesce a trasportare il pubblico dentro le storie che racconta. Questo è un piccolo angolino che racconta, per quanto è possibile, chi è, cosa combina, se è vivo al momento, e in quale parte del mondo si trova a cantare. Buon divertimento e... se lo trovate, dovunque lo trovate, dal più grande teatro dove canta con il pubblico in standing ovation alla più piccola via dove canta innamorato della propria musica, salutatelo e parlateci.. o, se siete fortunati, ascoltatelo. Io dico che non ve ne pentirete.

Stefano Brondi is a pure "toscanaccio" singer (his words!) in his spare time, and since he considers nearly his entire conscious life (and maybe his unconscious existence) "spare time", he can truly say he's a professional musician. You may find him in some smokey italian pub, or somewhere in a theatre doing shows, conducting choirs, teaching at a music school or - why not? - also in a small church in S. Francisco, California (in the USA.. just to be precise... it's also a small village near Livorno!) trying to be a good Ministry of Music. Reading the newspapers maybe you happened to find his name with the Joyful Gospel Ensemble, or with bands like Viltudo or Rocco e i suoi Orrori, The Rat Pack... or performing musicals such as "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Little Shop of Horrors, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"... or you may read his name on the Goldoni Thatre website as vocal performing teacher. Maybe you were not interested at all, and you turned the page. Or you stopped and you began wondering who the hell is this crazy singer who switches from one music style to another in his new show "Bianco e Nero" (Black and White) singing non-stop for over two hours arias, jazz standards and pop, rock, metal and italian songs.. and when he sings he shows his passion for music - dio bonino what a passion! - and many times he manages to transport people into the stories he tells. This is a little corner who tells almost completely who he is, what he's doing, if he's still alive and where in the world he is at the moment. Enjoy this site and... if (and anywhere) you will find him, from the bigger theatre where he sings with people in standing ovations to the wee small streets where he sings in love with his own music, greet him and talk to him.. or, if you're lucky enough, listen to him. I'm sure you won't regret it.
