Stefano Saccon started studying classical piano at the age of 10, but turned towards jazz and the saxophone by 15. After graduating from high school with a Baccalaureate in music and arts, he completed a Jazz Saxophone diploma at the Geneva Conservatory. He also followed courses at the AMR in Geneva and the CIM in Paris.
He studied architecture at the University of Geneva and became interested in the notions common to architecture and music, presenting a project for a Music Centre for his final diploma.
He then turned entirely to music.
From that time on, his path has crossed that of many renowned musicians: Daniel Humair, Franco Ambrosetti, Enrico Rava, Joe Lovano, Toots Thielemans, Kenny Werner, Malcolm Braff, Georges Gruntz, Pascal Auberson, Jon Fadis, Phil Woods, Flavio Boltro, Phil Collins Big-Band, Michel Leeb, Michel Benita, Adam Nussbaum, Tom Rainey, 4tuor Sinenomine, François Jeanneau, Eric Watson.
He took lessons with Jim Snidero, George Robert and Dick Oatts and he enriched his experience teaching at the EJMA (Jazz Music School in Lausanne).
From 1992 to 2002, he played lead alto in the Big-band de Lausanne.
He has recorded three CD’s with his own compositions that mix jazz with modern electro sounds. His first album “Drum ‘n Brass” received three nominations from the magazine “Musica Jazz” under the heading of “Best new international talent”. He recorded his second CD “Underscore” with the trumpeter Enrico Rava. His last album, recorded with Flavio Boltro, is called “Notte”.

Thanks so much for the add–and your friendship. We enjoyed your music very much. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. It's a pleasure having you among our friends!
We hope you and your friends enjoy our music, too. We've just added four new compositions and two new blogs about Umano.
We wake up every morning and play the music of the new MySpace friends who have arrived at our site during the night. It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy.
It also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other.
We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large.
What a gift and what an opportunity we have received from this technology!
