The music and videos on this profile present a showcase of the projects and different styles I play: world, mainstream and contemporary jazz, popular, modern sacred music based on early sources, film music, multisciplinary performances, solo concerts and sometimes even classical. I share collaborations with artists involved in other disciplines: theatre, dance, poetry, film and video-art in general. I like this because unlocks so much space for expression and creativity! With time this led me to view music in a multidisciplinary ( or visual ) perspective and helped work my way to a more personal language / sound on the small but rich horn: the soprano saxophone! Over the years I had the chance to study and play with some of the most advanced musicians in the world such as Steve Lacy, Markus Stockhausen, Tristan Honsinger and Joe Giardullo. I’m pretty much self taught: at first I started on clarinet then switched to soprano because of its abstract, modern sound, at traits also archaic! Currently I live in Bologna: beside being a musician I’m also a professional psycholgist and art-therapist.
