Do you think the music on this site plays back at a low volume? You're right, it does, it's about the same volume as the standard 20 years ago. Want to know why I prefer my music to stay at this level?
Have a look at this video:
Here's a video of me playing my Asher Electro Hawaiian at a lap steel clinic in Denmark, September 2006. The tune is "Unfinished Business" from my "Southern Moon Northern Lights" CD:
Started playing guitar in 1972, went through all the standard band stuff until I decided to focus on freelance work, and played with anybody who could pay,- a life I found so artistically stifling and destructive that I eventually had to step back from it all.
Got seriously hooked on lap steel and weissenborn guitars in 2003 and my creative juices started flowing again, which resulted in the release of my solo album "Southern Moon Northern Lights" in 2006. The passion is back and stronger than ever.. :-)

Your steel playing is absolutely sublime. Jessica Asher sent me a link to your version of "Angel" which just knocked me out when I heard it. Thanks for befriending the Ramblers!
I so enjoyed the video you posted playing your Asher Electro Hawaiian - your playing evoked and brought back so many wonderful memories of the years I lived in Hawaii. Your talent is extraordinary.
I will be sending TP over the pond to you on Thursday. I hope it is a great week in Norway for the band and you all have fun playing together!
