I have been a musician since 1967, playing several instruments, but consider myself as a flute player, even though I used to play a lot of stringed instruments. I have been travelling all over the world, in groups, totally alone, or as a member of famous bands. At the time I..am also teaching traditional music at two academies in Norway - Ole Bull Academy at Voss, and at Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, where I..m the leader of the folk music education. .. - One of my active projects is the trio with Sara Chen, violin, and Sanskriti Shrestha, tabla. We are doing classical music from Europe and Nepal, and we do folk music from Norway, China and Nepal. A beautiful mix! .. - "Gatesangerne" is the quartet with my old friends Kari Svendsen, vocal and 5 str banjo, Lars Klevstrand, vocal and guitar, and Kjetil Skaslien, accordion. Four soloists backing eachother, focusing on old funny songs, tunes and hits from years back. I do some flute playing, of course, but most of the time I play the double bass. A very funny group. .. - My big band, OFSDAL ENNO, is playing my compositions. The album SVIV was relased 2008! Check some tunes above!.. - I do produce two folk flutes in China. Do you need a non-tempered instrument? The MOUNTAIN FLUTE has pure and neutral intervals, made in beautiful purple bamboo. Available in E, but I also got some in D (3 fingers covered).
