I run, lift weights and play soccer. I also love good comedy. Lately into indy rock/up & comers. | | Music | If it's good, I like it no matter the genre. Except show tunes - they suck no matter how good they are. Top of my head examples include Tenacious D (because Jack Black is Jesus Christ reincarnated), Blink 182, Facemaker, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Billy Joel, Lost Prophets, The Bravery, Drop Kick Murphys, The Killers, Eagles, Hot Hot Heat, The Ravenettes, and no one from American Idol. Special shout out to the Two Skinny Dorks, a local band here in northeast Ohio. I dig smart, well-written comedies that tend toward social commentary - which pretty much relagates me to The Daily Show, South Park, and reruns of Family Guy (I don't get HBO, so Curb Your Enthusiasm is out for me). I used to watch CSI, but it got depressing to realize every Thursday that, no matter how well-orchestrated I think the murder of my ex-wife went, I fucked up somehow, and I'm going to get caught. (In case the FBI is reading this, that last part was just a joke ... I know I didn't fuck up.) | | Books | I don't read books. I was a lawyer; I used to get PAID to read books. So I sure as hell ain't reading them for free now. | | Heroes | Are for the week. I have lots of them.
For those of you who have pointed out that I may have meant that heroes are for those who are not strong, as opposed to what I wrote: Nope, I have about 52 heroes per year, on average. This week, it's Bob Schimmel, for knocking up his daughter's best friend. Come to think of it, he was my hero last week for pretty much the same thing. |
