Stella Black,Conductor, Composer, and Performing Artist is a published voting member of the Recording Academy. As an award winning songwriter, she is currently writing for television and film score submissions.
From modest beginnings in the rural South where Country and Blue Grass were a given to Arias in Lieder and Chanson in Europe, Stella is at home with multiple genres given her status as a Metropolitan Opera and Southeastern Opera Vocal Winner. Stella writes Classical, New Age, Latino, Broadway, and Jazz. Her multi-faceted writing style reflects the many influences that have shaped her as a artist. It is no surprise that Stella Black's new composition consists of Opus 1 through Opus 21. This Orchestral work mergers the coloration and ambiance of many cultures reflected in it's name, THE TRAVELER.
Stella is inspired by many cultures due to her background in Opera and Classical Music lending her current performance and writing towards International World Genres and New Age. Other Classical crossover performers such as Il Divo, Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban have been well received by what has been dubbed the "Pop-Opera" or "P'Opera" movement. Stella found her international creative nitch as a composer attending the 2006 Cannes, France Music and Film Festival. She has recorded throughout the U.S. and Europe and loves each new experience.
Stella is an award winning ASCAP Plus new songwriter, a 2006 Finalist in three categories of the ISC International Songwriting Competition and a finalist in the ISC People's Choice Awards. This holiday season, from the very bottom of my heart, I wish you Happiness, Hope, Love, Peace and Togetherness...
Lyrics in an inspiring song by Diana Ross: "Don't lose your way, with each passing day. You've come so far, Don't throw it away Live BELIEVING, Dreams are for weaving Wonders are waiting to start..."
Lyrics in a powerful song by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey: "We are NOT afraid although we know there's much to fear We were moving mountains long before we knew we could There can be miracles when you BELIEVE... Who knows what miracles you can achieve when you BELIEVE... ...And it's easy to give in to your fears But when you're blinded by your pain, can't see the way, get through the rain A small but still, RESILIENT VOICE says LOVE IS VERY NEAR..."
God bless you Stella, your family and your friends... GOD IS LOVE Sincerely, Christopher Wu
