STELLA MANDELLA(aka Elaine Crinnion)is a FEMALE man. Debuting as a reader of her own poetry age 6, her first poems were published age 14 in a pamphlet anthology. Stella's since read at fringe festivals from Brighton to Edinburgh; has run WORDDCLUB - poetry and poetry performance workshops for children age 5 plus; manages children's poetry performance group THE WORDIPOPS; and has published children's poetry in association with Dale Gunthorp the Red Candle Press. A former writer and illustrator of children’s stories for Portsmouth & Southampton TV, Stella's currently developing a children's book with the artist and illustrator Kevin Dean, and is completing a fable about adoption.
With former Goodhousekeeping Online's resident poet and winner of The Ledbury Poetry Competition 2008, Jacqueline Saphra, Stella is the other half of the poetry duo THE DISPARATE HOUSEWIVES.

Actually, he was the one who sent me the request. But, y'know, since it's always been kind of a thing with me that I like people who like people who disagree with them, it struck me that maybe I really ought to go the extra step and try to like people who disagree with ME. To be perfectly honest I'm not terrifically optimistic about my chances of success, but figure I ought to give it a shot anyway.
