Stéphane's musical adventures start at a young age, while living in Lyon, France. He first teaches himself how to play keyboards from a toy instrument. Later moving on to real instruments and taking music classes, he then starts composing music, inspired by avant-guard electronic musicians like Jean-Michel Jarre. After buying his first computer, he then proceeds to experiment with composing music on his old Atari ST computer.
After a long break from playing and composing music, to focus on his studies, he recently bought his first electric guitar in late 2001 and started focusing on this new instrument. He now owns several guitars and has a full amateur home studio setup.
His current musical influences include blues rock legends Jimi Hendrix, Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, among many others. Guitar virtuosos Satriani, Vai, Petrucci, Malmsteen are also a major influence, and so are prog-rock monsters Pink Floyd, Queen and Rush. His musical influences expand as far as classical music and death metal, with bands Dream Theater, Spock's Beard and Opeth being among his favorites.
Today Stéphane is working on his own experimental projects, drawing from his many influences and collaborating with fellow drummer Vin on various jamming sessions. He is interested in collaborating with other musicians in the Los Angeles area for any projects, or just for more fun jamming!
