Music
I like something from ALL genres of music...Seriously!
Movies

Television
Heroes, Law & Order, Martin, most everything on the Food Network, The Shield, Sleeper Cell, Nip/Tuck, I Love New York, Flavor Of Love (1 & 2), GOOD TIMES, various Soap Operas, ANTM, old school cartoons.....
Books
The Bible!, "Kindred" by Octavia Butler, "The Twentieth Wife" and "The Feast of Roses" by Indu Sundaresan (these are AMAZING romance novels set in 17th-century India), "Snake Hips: Belly Dancing and How I Found True Love" by Anne Thomas Soffee is a MUST READ!
Heroes
First & foremost, my KIDS (who unknowingly are the forces behind my DRIVE in life) and my family. I also admire people who overcome adverse situations and still manage to be positive and not harbor ill-will. People who strive to be their very best!
I'm in pre-pre production for a short film & several Documentary projects.
I produced a local tv show in Seattle area about Bellydancing. I'm also a videographer, editor and director...
I have 5 WGA registered scripts & am working on 5 more! Too many ideas in my head...not enough time to get em out!
Freelance journalist/editor online & in print.
About me:
I'm a sports fan. I love the Pittsburgh Steelers & LOVED The Seattle Sonics (until they were sold, bought & recently approved to move from the city), so my new team is the Boston Celtics!
I'm an internet radio on-air "personality" (soon to be taking my vibe INTERNATIONAL...stay tuned for details!), a published freelance writer (print & web), filmmaker & was a bellydancer for 4 years (in 2005 I took a hiatus from performing to regain focus on my TV/Film & writing career). I produced 2 local TV shows about Bellydance, "Rak On! Bellydance" & "Rak On! EXTRA". I love all aspects of production: camera op, directing, editing.....I was born to do this stuff!
I love music, movies, dance and just plain ole having fun!
I'm also a LEO. I live like a LEO, I have that LEO drive and I LOVE like a LEO!!
I've written for the web & print (Black Talent News, Seaspot Magazine & website, BlackFlix Magazine & website, BellaOnline.com). I've had the great pleasure of interviewing some real cool people like Me'Shell Ndegeocello (a badd-ass on Bass!), Avant, Rudy Ray Moore aka "Dolemite", Music video & film director Darren Grant ("Diary of a Mad Black Woman")...just to name a few. My first "real" interviews were Seattle's own Sir Mix Alot & Kid Sensation! Writing, TV & film production all have been my PASSION ever since I was a little girl....I don't think I would want to exist if I couldn't do any of them! So I'm always taking aim at new challenges & higher goals.
My favorite quote is: "A great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do." by Walter Gagehot
....
Who I'd like to meet: I would have loved to have met Bruce & Brandon Lee. The closest I got was when Bruce's widow/Brandon's mother Linda wrote me a letter about a year or so after Brandon died. I had been writing her for sometime (before email was the way to go!)....I was planning on writing a book about Brandon and her letter was her giving me her blessing. I still have that letter.....
I like to talk to & meet anybody who is positive in their thinking, their goals & aspirations. Positivity breeds positivity. Negative folks....keep it movin'!
It is important for me as a creative being to be around supportive & equally creative people...not a bunch of "Yes!" men & women but people who are supportive of my goals but honest with me! That is something all of us should have around us for personal and professional growth. So, if you are being about something, holla at me!
