About me:
Stephanie, a native to Utah, has loved dancing all her life. She received training in ballet, jazz,
and tap as a small child, but at the age of fifteen, she fell madly and passionately in love with the sensuous
art of “raks sharki”, or belly dancing. Twelve years later, she is a classically trained Middle Eastern dancer
that brings not only grace and beauty to the stage, but energy, personality, exquisite technique and
flirtation. The bulk of her training has been under the tutelage of Raffa and the fabulous Aziz. She has
studied in a variety of dance arenas in order to create a well-rounded technical style, and has had an
opportunity to study with many nationally renowned dancers. Stephanie incorporates ballet,
and jazz dance forms into posture and movement to create an Egyptian dance style all her own. It is her
desire to continually learn and enrich her love for dance and bring her audience along with her.
Stephanie has been a principal member of the former Baraka Dance Company and is currently a member of the Blue Lotus Dance Collaborative. She has traveled, performed, and taught workshops throughout the Western United
