Some would call Stephanie a singer-songwriter. She calls herself a song-hunter.
“Songs are sneaky little beasts…”
Perhaps her rugged approach to the profession came from her rural New England upbringing. Barefoot on the back porch was where she “found” her first song, letting her fingers wander the neck of an old acoustic guitar. She started stalking simple folk songs but quickly wandered into Rock, Pop and Trip Hop territory. Her journey soon led her to Berlin, where she officially launched her music career.
Stephanie quickly became a frequently featured writer in Germany’s most popular Singer-Circles. Her “tender yet ferocious” performances and recordings led to radio play on some of the country’s largest stations, television appearances and several live, studio and songwriting collaborations with R&B, Rock, Pop, Folk and Electronic artists. In 2006 she competed against Europe’s best singer-songwriters during the Troubadour Acoustic Song Contest and was voted unanimously into first place by the audience and professional jury, giving her a slot in Brett Perkin’s Listening Room – a world renowned Songwriters’ Workshop.
In addition to her solo project her current endeavors include studio work for her electronic band Ruby Rough’s upcoming debut album, and collaborating with and coaching some of Europe’s top musical talents.
Recent successes: placement of the song „Killer Lover“ in the show Lie to Me (FOX Network), being included on compilations with Amy Winehouse and Duffy, film placements of the songs “Jessica,” “Realtime,” and “Pure Bytes” and a commercial placement for the song „Easier.“

wie geht es Dir? Konntest Du Dich von den Anstrengungen der letzten Wochen erholen? Hier in Bremen ist alles im grünen Bereich. Na ja, wenn man vom Wetter absieht. Hier ist es lausig kalt. Ich versuch jetzt mal, mir die nötige Wärme durch einen heißen Tee zu beschaffen. Mal sehen, ob das klappt. Dazu muss Du wissen, ich bin kein Teetrinker und hab von Tee überhaupt keine Ahnung. Meine Arbeitskollegin hat mir diesen Tee geschenkt. Und jetzt lacht der mich den ganzen Tag schon an. Ich werde ihn jetzt mal probieren.
