I don't answer my phone. I am playful. I frequently act goofy. I can school you in sports-related conversation. I kickbox. I am the most anti-drama chick you will ever meet in your life. I would rather watch NBA basketball than go to dinner with you. I like acting like a white tiger with kara. I am not a cuddler. I own way too many purses and way too many pairs of heels. I love driving with the windows down and blaring music. I like getting dressed up. I run everyday. I write everyday. I sing everyday.
Bio:
Stephanie K's Hollywood looks and astounding vocal talent make a very powerful combination. She writes all of her own songs, lyrics and melodies. Her songs have received awards from countless competitions and organizations, including Billboard, Music Nation, The International Singer/Songwriter Association, The Great American Song Contest, The Los Angeles Music Awards, The Hollywood Music Awards and the International Unisong Contest. From her Spanish and European ancestry to her Detroit roots, Stephanie‘s unique persona blends youth, raw emotion and sophistication. In the fall of 2007, Stephanie teamed with famed 4-time Grammy Award winning producer Michael J. Powell (who helped launched the careers of and produced numerous hits for superstars Anita Baker, Aaliyah, R Kelly, etc.) and the duo began an unprecedented collaboration. Their brand of music combines pop, soul, funk and rock elements that features “THE DETROIT KATZ” ; a band comprised of world-renowned musicians and vocalists. Edgy lyrics, Stephanie’s powerful and sometimes sexy vocals, raging guitars, live horns, soulful background vocals, funky drums, drive the tracks and create the backbone of her unique style.
Stephanie has been a fearless and accomplished performer from the beginning. She has been regularly selected (among the likes of Anita Baker and Aretha Franklin) to sing the national anthem at the Palace of Auburn Hills, the premiere arena in the Detroit Area, for the NBA's World Champion Detroit Pistons in front of sell-out crowds of over 22, 000 people. She has also performed her original material live at halftime at the Palace. She also sings for the Harlem Globetrotters, the Detroit Fury, the WNBA's Detroit Shock, Motocross Tournaments, Toughman Contests and Budweiser Fight Nights. She has performed her original songs live on television (including a feature on FOX 2 News St. Louis), countless national festivals (alongside the likes of Uncle Kracker and numerous American Idol Finalists) and in such famous venues as the House of Blues.
Stephanie also worked as a DJ, Promotions Director, and News Director at a community radio station, WBFH 88.1 FM, for two years. She received several awards from both the Michigan Association of Broadcasters (MAB) and the Michigan Association of Educational Broadcasters (MAEB), including the MAB award for second best DJ in the entire state of Michigan.
