Bio:

. . . Stéphanie Moraly, née en 1980, débute le violon à l’âge de 6 ans et fait montre d’un talent très précoce. Elle remporte son premier concours à 10 ans et, à 11, donne son premier récital, obtient le Premier Prix du Concours Jeunes Prodiges Mozart et se produit en soliste aux Théâtres des Champs-Elysées et du Châtelet à Paris, ainsi qu’à Prague. A 16 ans, elle entre au Conservatoire de Paris, en sort avec un Premier Prix à 19, et part ensuite se perfectionner avec Michèle Auclair au New England Conservatory de Boston.
. . . Lauréate de nombreux concours et fondations (Fulbright, Lavoisier, 1er Prix du Concours Atžalina de Vilnius en 1998, 3e Prix du Concours International de Californie en 2000, 1er Prix du Concours du Festival de Rome en 2002…), Stéphanie Moraly se produit en soliste avec orchestre en France, en Italie, aux Etats-Unis, en Lituanie et au Brésil avec des orchestres tels l'Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, l'Orchestre des Pays de Savoie ou l'Orchestre National Symphonique de Lituanie. Elle donne de fréquents récitals, se passionne pour la musique de chambre, et participe à de nombreux festivals dans le monde entier.
. . . Egalement remarquée très tôt pour ses qualités de pédagogue, Stéphanie Moraly devient, à 20 ans, assistante de Michèle Auclair à Boston. Titulaire du Certificat d’Aptitude de violon, elle se voit sollicitée pour donner cours et masterclasses en France et à l’étranger (Brésil, U.S.A., Canada…) et est actuellement Professeur au Conservatoire d’Orléans.

Ayant à cœur d’être une artiste accomplie, Stéphanie Moraly poursuit, en marge de ses activités de concert, un Doctorat de musicologie à la Sorbonne, sa thèse portant sur la Sonate française pour violon et piano. En tant que jeune musicologue, elle est déjà l’invitée de colloques internationaux, et l’auteur de plusieurs articles.
. . . Parmi les actualités de S. Moraly en 2010 et 2011 on compte la sortie du disque « The Meeting of the Waters » (Intégrale de l’œuvre pour violon & piano d’Olivier Greif au label Triton), une invitation au Curso International de Verão de Brasilia, et plusieurs engagements en soliste, dont la Symphonie Concertante et le Concerto de Beethoven avec l’Orchestre Symphonique d’Orléans la saison prochaine.

. . . Stéphanie Moraly was born in Paris in 1980. She began playing the violin at the age of six and won her first competition as a ten-year-old child prodigy. The following year she gave her first recital, won the first prize at the Concours Jeunes Prodiges Mozart and appeared as a soloist in Prague and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Châtelet Theatre in Paris. After becoming a student at the Paris Conservatoire while still only sixteen, she was awarded a first prize at the age of nineteen and then went on to a period of advanced study with Michèle Auclair at the New England Conservatory in Boston.
. . . Her talent has been recognised at international competitions and foundations such as the Fulbright Institute, First Prize at the Atžalina Competition in Vilnius in 1998, Third Prize at the California International Young Artists’ Competition in 2000 and First Prize at the Rome Festival in 2002. Stéphanie Moraly has performed as a soloist in France, Italy, the United States, and in Lithuania and Brazil with orchestras including the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie and the Lithuanian National Orchestra.
. . . She is a regular recitalist and a committed chamber music enthusiast, frequently involved in concerts and festivals throughout the world. Stéphanie Moraly received early recognition as an outstanding teacher, becoming Michèle Auclair’s assistant in Boston when still only twenty. She holds the coveted French Certificat d’aptitude for teaching, giving lessons and masterclasses in France, the United States, Canada and Brazil.

With a view to broadening her knowledge and experience, she is currently working on a PhD in music at the Sorbonne University in Paris, the subject of her thesis being the French violin and piano sonata. Stéphanie Moraly has also been invited to take part in international conferences and has recently had several articles published.
