yeah, i like it. Currently stuck on Billie Holiday, although I don't mind a bit of Arlo Guthrie every now and again. Wilco, Talking Heads and Elliot Smith also rock my world. Live shows also make me quite happy.
Movies
La Jetee. Zoolander, Garden State, anything by Quentin Tarantino, those weird movies Dali did. However, I do tend to fall asleep during movies, except La Jetee. I still have yet to see Star Wars, but i do enjoy dressing up as various characters in movies which I have viewed, Snow White amongst them...
Television
My mom bought me a tv/dvd for Christmas, partially, as she stated, in order to facilitate conversations with people, for then I would know what people were talking about. That tv is still in its box. And my parents are most likely the only people left living in Warren, NJ who don't have cable. Granted, although I definitely see the appeal of flashing moving lights and color, I do prefer the stationary imagery. And so, I talk about the weather.
Books
A Confederacy of Dunces by John Toole, Sabbath's Theater by Phil Roth, Pnin by Vladimir Nabakov, The Motorcycle Diaries by Che Guevera, any kind of Russian lit or Spanish Magical Realism, especially Borges. The back of a ketchup bottle even. I will read anything and everything, and it is my desire to own enough books when I die so that a library can be opened in my name.

Who I'd like to meet: Kathe Kollowitz, but she's dead. So maybe one of her still-breathing kin. Others include Munch, Nabakov, Schiele, Toole and Linda Carter. It would also have been nice to meet Edward Gorey, but alas, he too has passed. I did try and find him when he was living on the Cape, alive, well and drawing like a fiend. The street was full of the kind of Victorian houses which he oft depicted. However, I couldn't find his particular house...the street number...just...wasn't there. So very Gorey really. And thus, the mystery of who Gorey really is still exists pleasantly in my mind...
