Stephanie Porter is a longtime figure of the Northwest jazz scene and has performed for over 15 years. She has worked some of the top rooms in the region including the Jazz Alley, Triple Door, Tula’s and “El Goucho’s” Pampas Room. Over the years, Stephanie has performed at several festivals and special events and have also headlined at high profile galas for such organizations as the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Stephanie is an outstanding jazz vocalist with a clear and sultry tone and a bright and appealing stage presence. She has performed up and down the West Coast and also performing internationally in Canada and Europe. Stephanie’s CD “Mood Swings” was released to critical acclaim, and Harvey Siders of Down Beat and Jazz Times wrote, “Stephanie Porter is one of the most complex individuals and unpredictable singers I’ve ever met. Lord how this lady sings.” Currently KPLU 88.5 FM still features several songs from this local classic album.
