STEPHANIE STARLET is the vision and creation of classically trained actor STEPHAN ROCCO . Stephan was born in North Lincolnshire and moved to London when just 15 years old.. There he trained in mime with the famous LINDSAY KEMP teacher to DAVID BOWIE and KATE BUSH , and studied jazz dance technique with MOLLY MOLLOY choreographer of CHESS and many other west end shows. STEPHAN also studied voice technique and quickly moved into musical theatre appearing in many fringe and rock opera shows.
STEPHAN also worked as a model and has appeared in ITALIAN VOGUE and LONDON FASHION WEEK. He was hand selected as a YOJI YAMAMOTO MODEL which led to work with agency SO DAMN TUFF offering representation which he turned down to pursue a career in acting . An advert in the Stage Newspaper led to an audition in Brighton for PIRATES OF PENZANCE with REGENCY OPERA, which in turn led to a tour as well as roles in WEST SIDE STORY and BLOOD BROTHERS.
It was at this time that Stephan fell in love with Brighton and decided to make the city his home. Here, he joined the cabaret group ''LIQUORICE ALLSORTS’’ a award winning fast paced five piece spoof act performing across the UK and all over Europe for three years.
STEPHAN's theatrical work led to lead roles as BENNETT in ANOTHER COUNTRY, EDWARD in KING LEAR , the YOUNG ELVIS in ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT and playing the devil CRISPIN in the alternative adult panto LITTLE DEVIL; and FRANKENFURTER and RIFF RAFF in the ROCKY HORROR SHOW .
STEPHAN was asked to help promote and be the face of Brighton based club THE PUSSYCAT 12 years ago, and has never left!! It has been voted the third best CLUB in the UK by the GUARDIAN GUIDE. (See links & affiliates). Stephan has also been the face of, and created many other club nights. These include DYNAMITE BOOGALOO with BOOGALOO STU and DYNAMITE SAL . Here Stephan created the character NAKED DRAG an inter-galactic five-hundred year old android stripper. NAKED Drag developed quite a following after performing her crazy acts at the club and led to her having a radio show as part of BRIGHTON FESTIVAL RADIO.

It was Jan King of PUSSYCAT CLUB that nick named Stephanie as Miss Starlet, using the new name on club posters. And thus our favourite Diva was born. STEPHANIE STARLETS name became one with many club nights in Brighton and further a field. Having worked the doors greeting and selecting, hosting and performing she compered nights for, THE MINISTRY OF SOUND, MISS MONEYPENNIES , BRIGHTONS ZAP, HONEY CLUB ,THE ESCAPE AND AUDIO , OCEAN ROOMS , WILD FRUIT and it’s offspring NIGHTS to name just a few.
Stephanie has also regularly put on huge Brighton GAY PRIDE events, including, THE BEACH PARTIES with such DJ’s as the THE SHARP BOYS. Dj-ing work led Stephanie to the club night EROTICA CHA CHA at Brightons CHARLES ST CLUB. Stephanie was also a resident DJ at Brighton’s premiere gay club REVENGE. Stephanie hosted ONE LIVE, a RADIO ONE event with DAVE PEARCE.

STEPHANIE has been awarded SCENE PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR voted by Brighton’s public through G SCENE MAGAZINE (for which Stephanie also had a column ,STEPHANIE'S NOSEBAG for three years). Stephanie won the title MISS ALTERNATIVE BRIGHTON. A huge event hosted at BRIGHTON’S DOME. Stephanie came out as a human aeroplane on roller skates in a Virgin Atlantic style costume, to the song “ like a Virgin” (See gallery)
STEPHAN’S TV AND FILM CREDITS are vast and varied, having been the third gay kiss in East-enders! She featured in TIME GENTLEMAN PLEASE with AL MURRAY, the drama MESSIAH with GILLIAN TAYLFORTH, A HANDFUL OF DUST with JUDIE DENCH and KRISTIN SCOTT THOMAS, SPLITTING HEIRS with KATHERINE ZETA JONES (Where Stephan had Miss Zeta-Jones serenade him on set, singing Elvis songs to ease the boredom) and, UNDER SUSPICION with LIAM NEESON in a sixties new year scene.
STEPHANIE presented her own TV show for UKTV. The show ''OUT OF THE CLOSET’’ was a trendy magazine style show. '' I had Andy Bell in the bath whilst I interviewed him, with us both sipping champagne” says Stephanie “And he nearly corpsed a few times with my lustful eyes meeting his. Great fun.”. THE TIMES and THE GUARDIAN mentioned Stephanie’s performance which was sponsored by the Metropolitan Police and the London Fire Brigade in a bid to recruit more gay employees.
More recently the irrepressible Miss Starlet has been seen as THE WAITRESS in the hit movie KINKY BOOTS a film directed by JULIAN JARROLD . The premiere at London’s Leicester Square was pure glamour. It was a charity event to help Elton John’s AIDS Charity, where boots designed by the likes of CHER were auctioned to raise lots of money for the erstwhile cause
Stephanie has also appeared in many music videos, Including those for friend NORMAN COOK( FAT BOY SLIM) ELTON JOHN, AHA, BOY GEORGE,ERIC CLAPTON S TEARING US APART with TINA TURNER and PHIL COLLINS.
Now Stephanie is making her own music under the name 'THE STARLET FOUNDATION'' which can be heard and purchased through this web site, and iTunes. Stephanie is currently in talks with labels as to representation and is working on an album (refer back to this site at a later date for updates )
EROTICA CHA CHA is soon to be released in CANADA with a video for the song being filmed imminently.
Stephanie continues her work with Pussycat Club in Brighton and continues her work in Film, TV and music. Her newest project is with best friend, Mr JASON PRINCE in a new eclectic show called THE MILE HIGH CLUB (see links to both)
