About me:

I'm a writer by inclination, but have been a bit of a conscientious jack of all trades, from publisher to gallery owner, restauranteer to activist to club owner to arts developer to urban revitalization, law and most recently theater owner and producer.
Im an easily occupied person, really----any old thing will captivate my interest for a while.
Lifelong Republican who now feels like ive been in bed with Satan for nine long years.
Im the quintessential libra, inasmuch as im helpless in the face of beauty, and at home only when surrounded by it.
I live with my transcendentally beautiful and talented partner, John Allen, two exchange students, (from Romania and Estonia) two cats (George and Robinson Dickinson) and a longtime friend, the controversial painter, Lee Harvey.
I believe in the diffusion theory of prehistory in the americas, have lived and travelled in all four corners of the country rounded out by a five year sabbatical into the rusty belted midwestern heartland, love the city of Paris above all others, would willingly live in Seattle Washington until the end of my days, prefer the company of Londoners to any other city's denizens, and yet live in jacksonville, Florida where I am ensconced in the central district of a most unaccomplished downtown.
I believe in time travel both theoretical and the easily demonstrable trick of living a life through the long course of years. I live by the law of change and swear allegiance to no generation or trend.
I would like to find the extraordinary in life, either in the forgotten jungles, the undiscovered continent, the undreamt of first contact or the decipherment of ancient tablets bearing explicit instructions pertaining to the construction of teleportation devices to the stars. Nothing else has been entirely satisfying.
I want to live to be 200. (at least)
Im wondering whether or not to become an american in exile, and im worried that the sea is coming to claim its own here in florida with rising sea levels and will take my home with it.
I come from a large southern family, raised pentecostal, with a penchant for adding fatback to collard greens and subscribing to the belief that modern civilizations should be judged by the quality of their iced tea.
In no way do i agree with contemporary comparisons to oscar wilde, i rather identify with frederick II of Prussia anyways.

In the way of the non documented, i prefer smart dissatisfied empowered people who havent already got a clear idea of the world yet. I seek adventure and open minds, with the possibility that it might all lead somewhere unexpected.
