Musician, actor, writer, director, filmmaker and artist Stephen Thomas is no ordinary wombat. Pulled from his burrow in the outback at an early age, he washed up on the shores of New York City just in time to accidentally be given a ticker-tape parade.
He became a founding member of The Garanafoofs, an underground surrealist movement designed to flout the popular concept of "cool" and began selling music though the legendary Sonic Delights catalogue.
As the years flew around so did Stephen, travelling the world and planting his heart's roots in every corner. "Life is like ivy, it grows and tangles becoming a gordian knot that unites the world. But the poisonous kind make you itchy."
HIs CDs have become international hits with wide distribution on sites across the internet. A tireless worker (he's actually running on rims as we speak) he regrets not always being able to respond but greatly appreciates all your comments and messages.
Yeah Dat Kubeck!
Stephen Thomas & People On Wheels The Story So Far...
“Melodic surrealism with heartfelt whimsy.”
“Instantly classic.”
Stephen enlisted the talents of an extraordinary group of musicians to bring this most personal album to light. Combining classic rock sounds with catchy and clever songwriting. “…a must-have for fans of [The Beatles, XTC, David Gilmour, Syd Barrett and John Lennon.]”
Featuring Paul Damon Thomas, Jeff Gaynor, Kevin Bernardo, Tina Vero, Erin Carly and Dan McCarthy.
Stephen Thomas & The Reptiles: INANUTSHELL
The cult classic remastered and re-issued!
“…sounds like the best unreleased album of 1966.”
“..like Syd Barrett and XTC covering unpublished Beatles songs.”
An energetic tour de force of psychedelic pop. All the instruments were performed by Stephen Thomas including guitars, drums, sitar, keyboards and voice. Taking inspirational cues from The Beatles, The Monkees, The Moody Blues and The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band (“The Urban Spaceman”, “Death Cab For Cutie”) orchestral instruments combine with shimmering guitars to create a dazzling environment for labyrinthine lyrics.
