Stephen Cox has played electric bass since Spring 2000. He also plays the fretless and upright (double) bass. Along his musical journey, he has had the chance to jam with Tommy Crain (Charlie Daniels/Crosstown Allstars), Barry Richman (guitar virtuoso), John McKnight (local drum legend), Sammy Blue, and many other great local artists. He has also done fill in work with Lefty Williams, Julie Gribble, Dean Dollar, and Nathan Morgan. He currently performs regularly with Blues NV, Snake Legs, and The Manabu Trio. Stephen is currently a jazz bass major at Georgia State University, studying under Robert Dickson. He has experience playing Blues, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Jazz, Funk, Reggae, and Country among other styles. He also enjoys composing bass solos and acoustic folk/pop songs in his spare time.
Hey, are you still playing jazz at Cuppy's on Saturdays? We were offered and accepted steady gigs there too. not exactly paying, but a good way to get ourselves out there. We're playing Tuesday the 19th at Swayze's if you want to come check us out there too. Hopefully the weather will start getting warmer and playing around places will get a little friendlier.
Hey man, Its Ryan from Decorus. We've got a show at the warehouse on Friday December 11th and we'd love to see you there. Its going to be our first performance at a venue so its kind of a big deal. we'll play our version of Watchtower for you and we'll see what you think. I want to come back to Fudruckers one week but ive been so busy lately. oh, and I might be getting me one of htose Geddy Lee Jazz Basses for christmas/birthday. ive been having a little trouble with mine lately. anyways, keep groovin, I wanna come see you play somewhere sometime, its been a month or two.
