The Artist has been performing poetry for nine years and Slamming for three years. He has been the member of three slam teams: The 2005 Fort Worth Slam Team which ranked 3rd the Nation, the 2006 Fort Worth Slam Team Team which reached the semifinals and the 2007 bryan Slam Team. In 2006 he released his first spoken word album "GOD Speaks". In 2007 he participated in Famecasts' National Online Poetry Competition and ranked 6th out of 84 poets and also ranked 22nd among indie poets at NPS.

Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land, And on the strangest sea; Yet, never, in extremity, It asked a crumb of me.
