Music
I enjoy all types of music, but the songs I've written always concentrated on melody and harmony. Here's an example, a song called "Once in a Longtime" which I wrote a long time ago with my friend Christopher Ward. The arrangement is way outdated now (and I'd love to hear it recorded again in a contemporary pop style) but still, of all the songs I've been involved with, this one is really close to my heart!!

Here's another song Christopher and I wrote, this is just a demo recording with Cheryl Davies singing lead, but you'll get a definite sense of my love of Brian Wilson harmonies. It's called "Almost Heaven".

Finally, this is fun, Jody Colero, Jim McGrath and I wrote the theme song to Degrassi: The Next Generation. A couple of years ago we created a long version based based on the Season 4 arrangement of the theme. The rap section was written by a great rap artist named Evren.
About me: Amongst other things, I am the Executive Producer of the tv series Degrassi: The Next Generation and Instant Star--on their websites I'm known as ExecProducer. I'm the President of Epitome Pictures Inc. in Toronto, Canada, which produces Degrassi and Instant Star. Also I executive produce The Juno Awards, Canada's music awards show, and am the Chair of Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the organization responsible for the Juno Awards. And for good measure I'm a founding partner of the entertainment law firm Stohn Hay Cafazzo Dembroski Richmond LLP!
