| General | I love all things theoretical. If it's abstract and mostly useless, I love it all the more. I am daily amazed by the fact that I have hands -- with opposable thumbs no less! I love to play games, but not the hurtful emotional kind. I don't care to crush anyones sense of self worth. I just want to beat them at Chess, Poker, and any other game but scrabble. Apart from that, I like to play my Bass, and chill out with friends. I also have a keen affinity for parentheses, exclamation points, and commas. About me:
I'm a recovering overachiever, (and I am a lover of parenthetical statements.) I'm a reconstructive post-modernist. Some people might even accuse me of being a neo-Hegelian, but those people probably need to get their noses out of a book and live a little anyway! I am a radical Incarnationalist, but if that makes you uncomfortable you may call me a "humanist." Though I prefer it if you just call me "Stephen."
According to a piece of paper written in Latin and bearing a stamp from Universitatis Yalensis (so you know it must be true), I am a Theologiae Magistri, or "Master of Divinity," which fills me with laughter at the very thought. (I think that officially makes me a "Master of the Universe" by default!)
I am just your average over-educated, deep thinker who has yet to figure out what the hell to do with a master's degree in Theology. In the meantime, I'm giving one last go at rockstarring! I'm currently playing bass with a talented and prolific songwriter named Josh Cole. (I am not beyond a little shameless plugging-after all I do have to provide food for me and my wife.) Since rockstarring pays next to nothing, I also work for the man selling books and CD's at Barnes and Noble.
I'm married to one of the most amazingly intelligent, yet down to earth, women on the planet. She is gorgeous with the prettiest eyes, and she is the biggest source of inspiration in my life! I daily marvel at what I may have done to deserve such a wonderful woman! I am also blessed with an amazing family, incredible friends, and an awesome dog!
I'm a horrible procrastinator, but one of these days I'll get around to using the blog feature and if you are interested you can find out more about me that way.
