About ♥ ステファニー・ヤネズ -Stephanie Yanez- ♥ NEW SONG: 愛を信じてる
Discovering music at the age of 5, Stephanie Yanez was born to sing. Her love for music eventually led her to
record four songs at PARAMOUNT STUDIOS on Geneon’s Anime Karaoke Collection with three of those songs recorded with
overseas Japan-based record label I’VE, known for their singer Kotoko. This CD also includes the song that she won
at Anime Expo’s AX Idol 2004 “Ningyo Hime” from the top anime series Chobits! You can purchase Anime Karaoke
Collection at all MAJOR RECORD STORES (Sun Coast, Fry's, Kinokuniya ,etc).
Just wanted to point out that when MS.Yanez won AX IDOL the prize was 100 JPOP CDS! It wasn't until a couple days after the competition that she was approached by Geneon to work on the CD!
And since her debut at ANIME EXPO 2005, she has been seen across the country, performing at many different Japanese
Events, Anime Conventions, and Music Venues. She even went to Japan to have a live performance in HARAJUKU in the spring of 07! And has also been one of the first Americans to perform on an Akihabaran (AKIHABARA) stage in Nov 08.
In August 2009 she went to Tokyo, Japan for her 4th time to have a MINI TOUR! She has been creating new music with Polo of the Japanese band NIRF and he set up a band out in Tokyo of very talented musicians: the drummer Rin-chan & bassist Maru-chan! They performed at Live Inn Rosa in Ikebukuro, Omotesando FAB in Omotesando where MS. Yanez was the HEADLINER! The manager for Omotesando FAB personally asked for her to perform after looking at her website and myspace.
She was also contacted by the cosplay/idol bar DEAR STAGE the same venue where she performed at in Nov, 08 and now they wanted her back for an encore performance in Aug 09. The show was a total success with the whole audience doing Otagei (Otagei is a unique dance form that originated in the backstreets of Akihabara. It literally means "otaku tricks," and entails a series of strange moves, or tricks, that Otaku do to send energy to anime singers and maid idols on stage). *Info taken from Tokyomango.com*
Also she was recently featured in the Japanese magazine "SWEET". The photographer was Katsumi Hashimoto the same photographer who did the photo shoot for the CD she was featured on with I'VE and Geneon titled "ANIME KARAOKE COLLECTION".
She has worked with mutiple artists, opened up for overseas Japanese artists YOUSEI TEIKOKU at Pacific Media Expo, shared the same stage with KOTOKO at Anime Expo 05 during Kotoko's US Debut, and also shared the same stage with Mari Iijima at the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco. She has also opened up
for Major Record Label Artist NIKKA COSTA at The COACH HOUSE in San Juan Capistrano!
Ms. Yanez has released her first ever solo DOUBLE EP titled "SIDES", which has 10 BRAND NEW SONGS inspired by ANIME, JAPAN, LOVE, and LIFE! The official CD "SIDES" showcases two different styles of music that has made Ms. Yanez who she is today! Stephanie feels that everyone has two different sides, sometimes three or four. Example: the mother, the woman, the wife, the teacher, etc. Each one of us has many different roles that we have to live up to. And some people may never see a certain side that you may have. As MS.Yanez has been traveling more and more to different anime conventions a very happy bubbly pop side was shown through her music and personality. Because music is her true happiness which brings out her very happy, goofy, outgoing side. But she also wanted to convey her other side which is very complex and serious, and felt rock music was the sound to showcase that. The first SIDE has a JPOP ANIME ELECTRONICA sound with lyrics written in both Japanese and English. The second SIDE has a more POP ROCK sound with lyrics also written in Japanese and English.
Produced by CHRISTOPHER BRIGHT and RORY CARRUTHERS.
Lyrics and melody by STEPHANIE YANEZ.
Translation touchups done by MELANIE ARAYAMA.
Photo & CD layout done by MINH SOI.
CD art done by OLLA BOKU.
