4 years ago I (Stephanie Heckman, 18 years old, born & living in The Hague, Netherlands, no I do not do drugs) decided in a moment of enlightment that I'd be happy learning to play the guitar. Being a rather impatient person when it comes to building up skills, and having my head always running miles ahead of my fingers, it couldn't go quick enough in my opninion the first year. But 3 years back my artistic current sped up and I started writing more and more songs. Also did my 'head and fingers' become more aline, which was wonderful. At last I could really start expressing myself. Since 2006 I have been writing many songs, which developed gradually, along with me, on artistic area.
Thus becoming the possesor of songs I was actually proud of, I decided I wanted to give some (solo) performances, to share with the first part of the world my creations.
I had always taken the opportunity to play for small audiences: friends, family, bonfire moments on camps, interested people, random pedestors, as sub-act on a small poetry-festival and its preparation-course, etc. But I wanted some real performances on a stage in front of strangers in smoky underground cafes. Because I absolutely love performing and because I wanted to share my to-be masterpieces of mind.
As you'll give my music a listen and a thought, I hope you will let me know what you think (I like compliments. I like suggestions for improvement too, but I like compliments better. But please do not let this delure you and please tell me what you really really think. I hope you think compliments :))

I hope you are fine and enjoying the springtime!
Please feel invited to listen to my new song ECHOES. For the first time I collaborated with another musician, who wrote the music for this gloomy but powerful piece of music.
So pick up your headphones and follow me ...

Hi Stepna, your music sounds really nice. Cool that you saw me on last tour, I did a couple of shows in Hague, do you remember in which venue you saw me? Take care, Thomas
